We are looking for a motivated and eager-to-learn Trainee Stores Assistant to join our team at our base maintenance facility in Bournemouth. Reporting directly to the Stores Manager, you will receive hands-on training and guidance from our Stores experts in efficient inventory control, within aviation maintenance. In this role, you will support tasks such as manning our internal parts counter, accurately recording stock movements, maintaining minimum stock levels, and building effective communication with engineers at our Bournemouth facility and across our network of line stations. Signature TECHNICAir, is a global provider of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul specialising in small to mid-size, turbine-powered business aircraft, with locations throughout the United States and Europe. As a division of Signature Aviation, Signature TECHNICAir EMEA operates a full service, CAA & EASA certified Part 145 Repair Station at Bournemouth airport, in conjunction with strategically positioned mobile service units based at Farnborough and Luton airports that serve a wide range of capabilities, across the UK and Europe.

What you will learn in your new role:

  • How to inspect and prioritise booking in all incoming goods.
  • Skills to control and maintain inventory and van stock records.
  • Efficient techniques for issuing stock and tooling to support maintenance operations.
  • Methods to monitor and prevent shortages of consumable stock.
  • Accurate recording of all stock movements within our networked system.
  • The process of raising and managing orders from approved suppliers.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal customers.
  • Ensuring timely availability of parts for maintenance needs.
  • Facilitating the movement of parts between facilities and restocking company vans.
  • Effective communication skills with engineering, customer support and planning departments.

About you:

  • Prior experience in an aircraft maintenance or logistics environment is beneficial but not essential; we welcome those eager to learn.
  • Possessing a full UK driving license, you have the unrestricted ability to travel as needed.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for providing excellent customer service.
  • Willingness to learn how to plan and prioritise tasks effectively for efficient workflow.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to support clear information sharing.
  • A diligent approach and a high level of integrity, demonstrating professionalism in all tasks.
  • Self-motivation and a "can do" attitude, with a willingness to develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to collaborate well within a team, showing readiness to communicate effectively.
  • Adaptability to respond positively to changing situations and priorities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to following instructions accurately to ensure quality outcomes.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
